I was huffing and puffing today because i didn’t really want to do the garden but it was too wild to ignore any more. When I began looking at the beautiful details I began to relax and enjoy. If you look at the rose you can even see that the dew is still on the petals.
It’s amazing how much we miss when we are only looking at the bigger picture. Also I found it interesting to observe again that even nature is not perfect – beautiful but not perfect!

Wow! My first ever scrapbook page. It took ages and I kept fiddling around with it. Not very content, I decided to just finish it, put it to one side and see how it looked in the morning. Well, I’ve decided that it’s not bad for a first attempt and it was certainly conveying what i wanted.
The main thing for me here is that I spent some really excellent time with friends doing something that I enjoy – making things. A lovely space for creativity, relaxation, fun. It gives me a feeling of innner peace when I’ve made something. It’s very similar to the feeling of mediation.
Being in the zone! Bliss.

When I got back from holiday recently I realised how much I had enjoyed being surrounded by people. When you work for yourself there is a tendency to work, work, work. Even though I love being by myself I decided that it was time for me to start socialising more. So instead of saying no all the time I made the decision to say yes to the first ten invitations I received. Here is my current list:
- Lunch with Carol
- Coffee with Clare and her baby Adam
- Coffee with Linda
- My ex-father-in-laws 70th Birthday Celebration
- A dinner party at Carols
- Scrapbooking at Maddy’s
- Spiritual Cinema afternoon at Trevor’s
- An Anne Summer’s Party at Sarah’s!!!
It’s a funny old world. It seems that since I’ve made the commitment to have more social Joy in my life there are more and more invitations coming my way. The Laws of Attraction never let me down.
What will be next I wonder?

Wow! I haven’t done any exercise for about 13 years. I have been feeling very stiff and old indeed so, approaching my 40th birthday, I thought it was time to do something about it. I’ve tried yoga before and found it very centering, relaxing and challenging. I thought that a bit of Yoga at home would be a good introduction to the world of fitness before I brave the outside world of gyms, classes and running (yeah right!). So I purchased a video off ebay: Yoga for Beginners with Joy Nielen. Excellent!
Two weeks later: I’ve done two sessions and my flexibility has already improved. More importantly it’s getting me back in touch with my body – part of the important trio of mind, body and soul.

Walking for Charity! Would you like to donate?
I always admire people who exercise regularly.
Someone who inspires me greatly at the moment is friend and colleague, Heather Warring. She is The Walker’s Coach and is doing the Charity Breakthrough Breast Cancer Walk this September.
‘The Aviva Weekend to Breakthrough Breast Cancer is a two-day, 60 km walk through the neighbourhoods of London, taking place 15-17 September 2006. All proceeds benefit Breakthrough Breast Cancer, funding vital breast cancer research and educational programmes.’
