Big, black horse
Small, scared me
Stand on the steps
Nearly gave up
Saw it in my sight
Something small stepped in
Majic, clear and light
Lean in to mount
Cry baby, cry, can’t
Sweating, in a tizzy
Emabarrased, cringe and shy
Verbal diarroeha
The clock ticking by
Looking over
Very high
Leg cocked out
Stuck in the mind
Time stops for a moment – over we go
I’m on
On ….. a horse!
Millions before
But today just me
Mounted – achieved
Beast between my legs
tense body
wibble wobble
movey movey
jiggle joggly
hands on my saddle gripped
stiff, excited uneasy – Rejoice!
Stop!!!! Stop …. relax
Start!!!
Near perfection
Controlled but loose
Enjoying the body’s movement
Woman and Beast

Thanks so much to Mat and Dave for fixing my fence. It took much longer than anticipated. They did a great job and really made me laugh as well.
It’s really nice to know that I don’t always have to do everything myself and that it’s important to allow people to help me!
Very, very grateful and highly amused that we have had a fence panel shortage in this country for months now. A reminder of how much we take for granted – and how much we just shouldn’t do that!

I successfully used a drill today!!! I put up Maria’s blind after 1 whole year of procrastination. What an achievement for me – it sounds ridiculous but this is a task I found very daunting particularly as i hate using the drill. But I’ve done it now and what a relief it is – to both of us.
Why Procrastinate?
I his book Do it Now: How to Stop Procrastinating,William Knaus talks about two reasons for procrastination:
1) Self Doubters (often perfectionists)
2) Discomfort Dodgers (this was me on this occassion)
It’s good for me to stay in touch with my procrastination so that I can better help my clients.
What’s next on my list of energy sappers? My bedroom ceiling needs painting and oh, that old cookie – THE GARDEN!!!!

“To make emotionally intelligent choices, it’s important to make sure that it really is your steady, calm inner voice that you’re in touch with. If you’re relaxed when you hear it and it gives you the same message over time, chances are good that it’s your inner voice……Emotional intelligence is the opposite of emotional chaos; it’s emotional clarit, when your head and heart are aligned in peaceful knowing and you are in full agreement with yourself. This is the strong, tranquil message of your inner voice. ”

The true story of Antwone Fisher
a black american boy who survived physical and sexual abuse at the hands of his foster family. It’s a moving film based in a Navy Camp. It stars Derek Luke who plays Antwone Fisher as a young man and Denzel Washington as the Navy Psychiatrist who helps him unravel the reasons for his agressive attitude towards his peers.
For a very opposing view of this film, have a look at this BBC review.
